Untitled

Have been looking to choose images for getting prints made and thinking I might  pick this as one of them. Moody pic of a favourite local Beech tree which I more often see at a distance from the other side as I pass by on a bike ride. (At the moment looking almost unrecognizable in it’s summery green guise underneath blue skies!)

Sunny Blues

Sunny Blues

Something  more recent and different: a collage. I can’t remember the last time I did a collage…could be when I was in primary school. No, wait, I think it was when I did a short course at college in the States on teaching art to children. This is mostly white tissue paper painted and torn and a couple other papers, on board, framed behind glass.

Collage, 23 x 31cm, 2014

Autumn Gold

Leaf Dance Crop

This was an enjoyable experiment. I have in my house a collection of dried leaves my sister and family pressed for our family as a part of a gift a few years back., and they were calling out to be used.  The leaves haven’t photographed as well as I’d like – they are gold; warmer tones than in this photo.

Mixed media on canvas. 20 x 20cm. 2012.

Bee’s Eye View

Bees' Eye View

Inspired from when I was little and lay on my back in Pennsylvania fields of long grass in the summertime with my big brother, chewing a long piece of grass, cloud-watching and listening to the buzz of insects all around…..

Mixed media, 41 x 56cm, 2011.
