Summer Sweep

This is another painting from years back (2010). It’s of a very familiar view nearby and this painting is about to make it’s way to California to remind the owner of years spent living here. It’s been hanging for a while above my staircase; there’s a blank space there now…but not for long! My daughter has graduated from an illustration course, and I’ll be putting a large colourful screen print of hers there instead.

Untitled

Have been looking to choose images for getting prints made and thinking I might  pick this as one of them. Moody pic of a favourite local Beech tree which I more often see at a distance from the other side as I pass by on a bike ride. (At the moment looking almost unrecognizable in it’s summery green guise underneath blue skies!)

Something  more recent and different: a collage. I can’t remember the last time I did a collage…could be when I was in primary school. No, wait, I think it was when I did a short course at college in the States on teaching art to children. This is mostly white tissue paper painted and torn and a couple other papers, on board, framed behind glass.

Green Walk

Green Walk crop

Oh boy, it’s been a long long while since I uploaded anything! After all that grey and brown winter, Spring is here, and before I know it this is what the old Roman route down to the river will look like. Mud and more mud at the moment, but it won’t take long to green up. This is another painting from a few years back while I’m busy producing new artwork.
